Our Guarantee
We stand behind every roof we install. Here's exactly what that means.
"Honest assessment from the first inspection to the final walkthrough. If our installation work fails during the 3-year warranty period, we come back and make it right. That's the promise."
— Kevin Jones, Founder & Owner
No chasing us down. No excuses. Just follow-through.
The Integrity & Follow-Through Guarantee
What it means. What it covers. What happens if something goes wrong.
How We Approach Every Project
Whether you're filing an insurance claim or paying out of pocket, the work we do looks the same. Kevin's name is on this company, and the same standard applies to every roof we touch:
- We document your storm damage thoroughly and honestly
- We attend adjuster inspections so your roof is properly evaluated
- We identify scope items that adjusters commonly miss or under-value
- We install a complete system to manufacturer specifications, not the bare minimum
What the Workmanship Warranty Covers
If our installation work causes a problem within three years of completion — a leak from improper flashing, a fastener placement issue, a workmanship failure traceable to how we installed your roof — we return and fix it. That's what the workmanship warranty covers.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
The workmanship warranty covers installation quality. It does not cover material defects (those are addressed by manufacturer warranties), damage from subsequent storms or weather events, pre-existing damage to other areas of your home, or situations where a homeowner has modified the roof after installation. If you ever have a question about coverage, call us — we'll tell you straight.
3-Year Workmanship Warranty
Installation quality you can count on — and a warranty that actually means something.
What's Covered
My Roofing provides a 3-year workmanship warranty on all residential roof installations. This warranty covers failures caused by installation error — not material defect or weather events.
- Improper flashing installation that leads to leaks
- Fastener placement issues affecting shingle performance
- Ventilation installation errors
- Any workmanship failure traceable to installation quality
If a problem arises from how we installed the roof — we fix it. Period.
Why 3 Years Matters
Industry-standard workmanship warranties are often 1 year or less. Three years reflects confidence in how we work. Installation failures — when they occur with less careful contractors — typically surface within the first year or two. By year three, a properly-installed roof has been through multiple Texas storm seasons.
What You Need to Keep Your Warranty Valid
- Do not allow unapproved work to be performed on the roof
- Report issues promptly — delay can compound damage
- Keep your warranty documentation (we provide this before we leave)
Manufacturer Warranties on Your Materials
The shingles and materials we install come with factory warranties direct from the manufacturer.
We install premium materials from manufacturers we trust — GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, and others. Each product carries its own factory warranty, ranging from 25 years to lifetime coverage depending on the line.
These warranties come direct from the manufacturer. They apply automatically to properly installed materials, and the manufacturer will use your installation date if a claim ever needs to be made. In nearly 1,000 roofs since 2011, none of our customers has needed to invoke a manufacturer warranty — but the coverage is there.
We'll walk you through which materials are on your roof and what factory warranty comes with each one before we leave your property. If you have questions about your coverage later, the manufacturer is the right place to start — and we're happy to help you navigate that conversation.
Common Questions About Manufacturer Warranties
Does the manufacturer warranty cover labor?
Standard manufacturer warranties cover the roofing products themselves, not labor costs associated with repair. That's what our workmanship warranty covers. Together, they provide layered protection for your roof system.
What affects manufacturer warranty validity?
Manufacturer warranties require proper installation by a qualified contractor. They can be voided by unauthorized modifications, improper ventilation, or failure to report damage within specified timeframes. We educate you on all of this before we close out your project.
Can I transfer my warranty if I sell my home?
Many manufacturer warranties are transferable to a new homeowner, which can be a genuine selling point. Transfer requirements vary by manufacturer — we'll point you to the documentation you need for the products installed on your roof.
Why We Offer This Guarantee
Kevin Jones started My Roofing in 2011 because he saw what happens when contractors don't stand behind their work. Earning his Texas adjuster's license afterward only confirmed what he already believed: homeowners deserved a roofing contractor who'd be here in three years, ten years, twenty years — not just the day the check cleared.
A guarantee that exists only in writing is not a guarantee. Ours is backed by the fact that My Roofing is headquartered in Cleburne, Texas, where Kevin lives and works. We're not a regional franchise. We're not a traveling crew. When we say we'll be here — we mean it in the most literal sense possible.
We do not offer this guarantee as a marketing tactic. We offer it because it reflects exactly how we operate. If we do the work right — and we do — the guarantee rarely needs to be invoked. That's the point.
We've been in business since 2011. We have nearly 1,000 roofs standing across Johnson County. We have customers who've come back to us after multiple storm events because the first roof we installed held up. That track record is the real guarantee. Everything else is just paperwork.
What This Means For You
In plain language, here's what our guarantee delivers to you as a homeowner.
You don't have to worry about being wrong
If we recommend a path and it doesn't deliver what we said it would, we own the outcome. You took us at our word. That's a reasonable position for a homeowner to take, and we respect it.
Your investment is protected for three years
Installation quality is not something you can evaluate by looking at a finished roof. Our 3-year workmanship warranty means you're covered through the period when installation failures — if they were going to occur — would surface.
You know exactly what's on your roof
Before we leave, we walk you through every component we installed and the factory warranty that comes with each. You'll know what's covered, by whom, and for how long. No guesswork.
You have a contractor who's still here
Warranties only matter if the company that issued them still exists. My Roofing has been in Cleburne since 2011. We plan to be here for the next storm season too — and the one after that.
